The fight for equal rights for the GLBT community has been a long struggle though each progress made has been a victory. Recently, Gays and Lesbians are NOW able to serve in the United States Armed Forces without being harassed or expelled as they had been for years.  Can you even believe it that a United States President Obama supports Marriage Equality for everyone at the risk of losing his Presidential Re-election? I believe times are changing for the better and everyone is starting to realize that people should be granted basic human civil rights that most people just take for granted. The right to love and marry should be available to any adult couples in a loving relationship who just wants to build a life together. Why is this too much to ask?

There are still gay confused kids committing suicides all over the world because they are being harassed and bullied. Gay people are still being unfairly discriminated at their jobs and communities. They are being attacked and killed on the streets for being who they are. Some parts of the world, they are being jailed and persecuted by the government. WHY IS THIS STILL HAPPENING IN THE WORLD TODAY???

STAND4LOVE strongly supports Marriage Equality for everyone because people need to see that gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgendered people are human beings too, who are capable to love and be in committed long term loving healthy relationships. I just think we all are human beings with the same heart wanting to love and be loved in return.

Mile-wide tornado reportedly rips through North Texas.

Authorities searched for survivors Thursday after a powerful storm system that spawned multiple tornadoes tore through two North Texas neighborhoods, killing at least six.

It is reported as of daybreak, 14 people were missing in the town of Granbury, which is just outside Fort Worth. It was not clear if they were missing or were away from the area for other reasons. Utility officials say about 20,000 homes and businesses have lost electricity (Source: Fox News)



North Texas residents began to take in the devastation on Thursday wreaked by a series of tornadoes that killed six and injured dozens more in what Hood County Sheriff Roger Deeds described as a “nightmare” scenario. 

The death toll could grow, with 14 people remaining unaccounted for, Deeds told a news conference in the early morning hours of Thursday.  About 100 people were reported injured and as many as 250 were homeless after the swarm of twisters that ripped up trees and knocked down homes. 

Granbury, a town of 8,000 about 65 miles southwest of Dallas, was thought to be among the worst-hit areas. Images of the town revealed leveled homes, badly damaged cars, uprooted trees and downed power lines. The National Weather Service reported three tornadoes across Montague and Hood counties. 

Storm surveys to determine the extent of the damage were planned for Hood, Johnson, Montague, and Parker counties on Thursday, the weather service’s Dallas-Fort Worth office announced.  Nearly forty patients were taken to Lake Granbury Medical Center and 18 discharged, with the majority of injuries including cuts, broken bones, and some head injuries. 

A total of eight patients were admitted to the emergency room at the Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. Two of the patients were in critical condition as of 4 a.m. local time. The tornado outbreak was by far the year's deadliest, the weather service said. 

Prior to Wednesday night, there had been three fatal tornadoes this year, killing one person each in Georgia, Mississippi and eastern Texas. About 60 departures have been canceled and 70 flights diverted from Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport on Thursday morning, spokesman David Magana told the Associated Press. Time flies by, and today Adonis Heights is 5 months old and continue looking for more things that we can do to promote creativity in Second Life. To be honest, my finger is itchy to start building again, until my great team doing their best pulling my hands away from that reboot button to the extend they would say "Dae, don't you dare!". It was funny to see their reaction when the moment they heard me say "Hurmm I am bored, I want to build the sim again", the whole board room suddenly full with voices!

Adonis Heights continue to meet several great people in SL, having casual discussion and informal chat about what can we contribute and acknowledge the creative people in this virtual world. The fashion designers, the sim builders, furniture, home and prefab creators, entertainers and club owners, all of them work hard day and night despite the economic challenges we face today in Second Life. Things may get even tougher as Linden Labs announced that no outside currency trading allowed. What does that means? It means, L$ transaction Buy and Sell only can be done through Second Life L$ exchange and no longer allowed through 3rd party channel. Although this may not affect Adonis Heights directly, since we have been legitimately utilize the main channel as our daily transactions, however it may affect the community and will more or less affect some businesses. How critical the situation is? yet to be unfold.

Adonis Heights plan to organize an event to commemorate what we call as the creative industry in Second Life. As we continue to search for Adonis Heights Radio : Voice of Adonis, not only as the talent voice for our ads, those who want to have their music covers to be played on our radio, please do approach us and The Red Dot Arena of Stars is looking for new talents and new stars. Who knows soon we will introduce SL Virtual Reality show?.

Adonis Heights, ONE name ONE vision

Adonis Heights Boys Academy sim is now officially known as Adonis Heights.

This initiative is inline with the group vision towards building one community through diversity. Adonis Heights will be used as the main brand for Adonis Heights Group, Home@Adonis, AH Radio, AH Concept Store & Adonis Heights Boys Academy, while the boys community for this group will be known as AdonisBoys.

Let us all hold hands together to create ONE value added community that is against discrimination or hate. Peace and Harmony.

New Landmark and New Network!

MAY 7th, 2013: Home@Adonis, the distinctive eco-modern sim property development by Adonis Heights Group has started the construction of a new tower that will soon be a new landmark in the region. The 80 meter high tower will be the new home for the group administration office with the estimated cost of L$8,000 will set another milestone in the group progressive development. Asked whether this new construction will affect the residence, Dae Parx, the Group Chief Executive mentioned the strategic planning during the early inception has taken into account the future expansion. No other property will be affected during this construction and the residents will have the opportunity to witness themselves the progress of this new landmark from the leisure of their home comfortably.

The tower design is more minimalist, concentrating on compact and functional architecture will attract more future ventures and expected to set a new trendsetter in sim property development in the grid. The tower is expected to be completed by end of May this year.

Adonis Heights Group have been seen to engage a talk with Club RA's owner as their consistent initiative to build a larger positive network. The Club will be re-launched today at 12 PM SLT at their new location in Temple of RA, Hidden Paradise. This new network will further strengthen Adonis Heights Group position within the community as a universal community hub. -The SL WRITERS-

Life is a Journey, An Introduction

Friends of Adonis Heights,

First of all, thank you for the support and encouragement given throughout the progress and development of our group The Adonis Heights.

I am sure, many of you still in the blue or wondering what is actually Adonis Heights? Are they another club or role-playing community in Second Life? or some shared with me their perception; another version of the brother group I used to manage before.

Adonis Heights Group is a whole new organization managed by several engaging and progressive personnel who dedicate their time and ideas towards community growth, especially for LGBT community in Second Life. 

Throughout the years I have been in Second Life (since 2007), I have seen sims come and go, group launched and closed, business rise and fall and the list goes on and on. This has lead me towards a question, what is the purpose of Second Life? The soul searching continue until I have been tested with the toughest decision making I have encountered in November 2012. That experience has open up my eyes that Second Life is more than just a role-playing sim, it has the potential to become the beacon of hope for value creation.

Personally, I always believe, each every individuals have the purpose or reason why they choose to create an account in Second Life. Either for social life, education, entertainment or to some, a space for virtual sex *coughs*. Whatever the reasons is, it always revolved around the the 2 qualities which are Creativity and Imagination.

As I continuously observe these 2 qualities hand-in-hand, I asked myself, why not we make something that can add value to a group of people that will engage their creativity and imagination ahead, instead of just thinking about the "pose balls"? Something that can be a new wave that will bring the community to a greater heights. This is when the idea to establish Adonis Heights comes into the picture.

I always have a dream about building an enclave that will be a place for people to gather and socialize harmoniously. It is a wonderful experience when I am able to meet with people from almost 30 countries gathering at Adonis Heights with different languages, different time-zones and different point of views. 

Adonis Heights is more than just a sim, it is a sanctuary for those who seeks peaceful place to hangout and share their passion to the world. I was surprised, when we have talented people who can sing live on voice, having an engaging conversation with each other and make full use of the technology to communicate openly without fear.

"Life is a Journey" post will be my personal sharing with everyone about the current issues and topics that will be focusing on community matters as well some insights on Adonis Heights development.
